Chocolate Snack Cake
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
3 beaten egg yolks
2 tablespoons liqueur (such as clear creme de cacao; orange; raspberry; or 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package (17 1/2 ounce) frozen puff pastry -- thawed
1 8-ounce carton cream cheese (softened)
4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (cut up)
1 tablespoon shortening
assorted berries (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and crumb coat a 13x9x2 Pyrex dish.
Using a 3-quart sauce pan, heat butter, cocoa, and water --
stir, just until butter is melted. Cool.
Stir in buttermilk, sugar, flour, soda, salt, and vanilla. Blend well.
Make sure mixture is cool, then add eggs.
Stir, stir, stir until well blended! Pour into pan and bake
for 20-25 minutes. Spread with glaze! Yummy!!
Chocolate Glaze
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa
1/3 cup milk
3 3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Heat butter, cocoa, and milk to a boil in sauce pan.
Remove from heat and stir, stir, stir!
Blend in sugar and vanilla and pour over cake!! |
